(Monday, December 31st, 2018) The 6'4'' Point guard of Grand Rapids, Michigan officially signed with the Magic on December 28th. Mondy made an appearance in the NBL Canada during the 2017/2018 season with the Cape Breton Highlanders. Along with his offensive production, Mondy's defensive presence was among the top in the league.

"Duke is a do-everything type of guy. He was one of the most efficient players across the board during his time in the NBL last season, and one of the best defenders I have seen in this league. He is a playmaker, and can score the ball multiple different ways. His toughness on the defensive side of the ball should fit right in with our style of play. This is a big addition to our ball club." - Head Coach Joe Salerno
