Magic fade in the 2nd Half to Riptide 84-110

The Moncton Magic played the Riptide in Saint John for the second of their five game away trip. The Magic finished on top the first two games of the season but fell tonight 110-84, and are now 2-1 against the Saint John team.

Moncton came out strong ending the 1st quarter with an 8-0, run but unfortunately could not come back from the 20-point deficit that occurred in the 3rd.

Riptide player Gabe Freeman probably had the largest impact in Sunday's game putting up 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 32 points.

Terry Thomas was Moncton's top scorer Sunday with 27 points; Anthony Anderson had eight assists and 17 points.

The Moncton Magic will now head to Cape Breton to play the Highlanders in back-to-back games Tuesday, December 19th and Wednesday, December 20th. After that they will travel to PEI to play the Island Storm December 26th, ending their road trip.

The Magic are looking forward to returning home December 29th for a rematch against the Saint John Riptide, and a chance to further solidify their NB dominance- 7:00pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
