Magic come up short in Boxing Day Matchup against Island Storm

(Charlottetown, PE: December 26, 2017)

 The Moncton Magic traveled to PEI Tuesday afternoon to play the Island Storm for the last match of their five game road trip. The game in Charlottetown came down to the very last possession with the home team finishing 120-117.

The Magic struggled initially but came back and kept up until the final 11 seconds where they were forced to foul the Island Storm for a few last attempts.

Corey Allmond played his best minutes of 2017 and was named the Magic's player of the game, making 8/13 threes and finishing with a season high 34 points. 

Terry Thomas ended up with a 10-rebound 16-point double-double, Anthony Anderson had eight assists and 24 points, Denzell Taylor played big in the paint again, pulling down 10 rebounds on top of his six points. 

Du'Vaughn Maxwell led the Island Storm on Tuesday; he had nine rebounds, five blocks and 28 points. Andre Stringer was just behind finishing with 26 total points. 

The Magic's newest player Brent Jennings, signed December 22 this year, played a large role; he had four assists, four rebounds, and 14 points over his 23 minutes.

The Magic are now returning home for an NB rivalry game against the Saint John Riptide, 7:00pm December 29th, at the Moncton Coliseum.
