Magic Take Two Straight at Home Before Heading West

Jan 10th Final

(Moncton, NB: January 10, 2018)

Following a 101-89 win against the Windsor Express last Thursday, the Moncton Magic hosted the Niagara River Lions Wednesday night at the Coliseum.

Though the 1st quarter went in Niagara's favor, Moncton took the reigns for the remainder of the contest and finished 112-104 over the away team.

The Magic played at a high caliber throughout and were able to come out on top statistically in almost every category despite an impressive performance by Niagara. This is a great boost for the Magic as they now embark on a road trip where they will play all five Central Division teams, some of which for the first time.

Al Stewart was named the undisputed player of the game for his 23-point, 10-rebound, 11-assist triple-double. Al played his best for the Magic tonight and showed us again why he leads this squad.

Terry Thomas had 23 points of his own as well as four rebounds, six assists, and five steals; Jeremy Williams had 22 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.

Omar Strong led the visiting River Lions with 20 points; Marvell Waithe and Jaylon Tate had 18 and 16 respectively.

The Moncton Magic now start their five game road trip by traveling to Ontario to play the Windsor Express January 12th.  The Magic will return home January 24th to play the Charlottetown Island Storm.
