Magic dominate in first trip to the Rock

Fresh off two big home wins against the Island Storm, and number one Atlantic ranked Halifax Hurricanes, the Moncton magic traveled to Newfoundland to play the St. John's Edge in double header games February 2nd & 3rd.

The first of the two, played Friday night, went to the Magic 116-98, putting them on a three-win streak.  This victory was delivered in part by another incredible shooting performance by the Magic, lead by Corey Allmond and Brent Jennings.

Allmond was awarded player of the game for his night, he started hitting in the 2nd and caught fire by the 3rd, finishing with 11/20 threes for 35 total points, along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Brent Jennings initiated the offence for the Magic making 4/4 of his first threes, dropping 19 total points. Jeremy Williams, back in full form, ended with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Charles Hinkle led the Edge with 24 points and 9 rebounds; Carl English just trailed with 18 total.

The Magic will play the Edge again Saturday the 3rd then return home to play the Cape Breton Highlanders, Saturday the 10th at the Coliseum.
