The Moncton Magic played the St John's Edge in Newfoundland on Saturday for the second of two back-to-back games; the first on Friday night went in Moncton's favor 116-98.
The Edge came out strong hoping to turn the tide on Friday's loss and created at largest a 17-point lead. Despite a strong Magic comeback in the 3rd, and Anthony Anderson evening the score in the 4th, St John's took the match 104-100.
Anderson had Moncton's best offensive performance Saturday and was awarded Player of the Game for his 26 points; Brent Jennings put up a much-needed 19 points, Tirrell Baines finished with 15.
Carl English and Charles Hinkle led for the Edge with 25 and 22 points respectively; Hinkle also had 11 rebounds giving him a double-double.
The Magic will return home to the Coliseum where they will host the Cape Breton Highlanders, Saturday the 10th, the Charlottetown Island Storm on Sunday.
