Final Feb 11

(Moncton, NB: February 11th, 2018)

The Moncton Magic hosted the Charlottetown Island Storm Sunday afternoon for the second of two back-to-back weekend home games; in the first on Friday the Magic defeated the Cape Breton Highlanders 147-109.

The Magic's new lineup- starting Anthony Anderson, Corey Allmond, Terry Thomas, Jeremy Williams and Denzell Taylor, seems to be working; they again took the home victory, 115-100 over the Storm.

Moncton seemed to be moving well right from the start and played some excellent team ball, handedly out-assisting the visitors. As with Saturday's game the Magic shot just shy of 50% from both the field and arc, giving them the offensive edge.

That offensive assault was instigated in the 1st by Terry Thomas who went head-to-head with Island's Du'Vaughn Maxwell, and came out on top. Thomas finished with a 13-rebound 23-point double-double.

Jason Calliste had probably the largest impact in this game; he started to heat up in the 2nd and at the last buzzer had hit 8/9 from three-range, giving him 25 total points. He was awarded Player of the Game for that heat-streak.

Franklin Session topped the box score for Charlottetown with a 15-rebound 25-point double-double, Maxwell finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

The Magic now have a 5-day break before hosting the #1 ranked Halifax Hurricanes, Friday the 16th, then the Saint John Riptide February 17th.
