(Moncton, NB: February 28th, 2018)
The Moncton Magic hosted the KW Titans Wednesday night at the Moncton Coliseum. Both teams coming off a loss entered the game hoping to start a late-season streak.
Despite a seemingly easy 12-point lead in the 1st, the Magic struggled in the second quarter allowing the Titans to go up 58-56 at half. However, always up for a game, the Magic caught a second wind in the last two quarters and snatched the W 125-108 at home.
Corey Allmond proved to be the defining factor and was awarded player of the game for his 7 hotshots from the arc, and 3/3 from the line for 30 total points.
Terry Thomas made a huge impact in Wednesday's game as well; he put up an 11-rebound 28-point double-double for the home team.
Derek Hall managed to perform amidst a struggling Titan team; he dropped an astonishing 19-rebound 20-point double-double for KW. Justin Hurtt was next in line with 19 total points.
The Magic now travel to Saint John (March 1st) for a Thursday night game vs. the Riptide, before returning home Sunday March 4th to host the London Lightening.
With just 8 matchups until playoffs the Magic now look more than ever, to keep up their high-energy play, as well as 2nd place spot.
