(Saint John, NB: January 2, 2018)

The Moncton Magic played an away game against the Saint John Riptide Tuesday night for their fourth matchup of the season. Coming off of a thrilling 100-99 late game loss on Friday the Magic opened strong but unfortunately fell again to the home team.

The Magic started with a lot of energy, rebounding well, moving the ball and themselves in good rhythm, and ending the first quarter 19-13. However after tight second and third quarters the Magic hit an offensive wall and simply missed more opportunities in the fourth than they could afford.

Struggling alongside the team Terry Thomas, Anthony Anderson and Corey Allmond each managed to create some offensive pressure knocking down 21, 15, and 14 points respectively.

Thomas was awarded player of the game for those 21 points along with his eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

Brian Addison had a big game for the Riptide, coming off the bench and producing 18 points along with six rebounds and two assists.

The Magic now return home to play the Windsor Express Thursday, 7:00pm at the Coliseum. They will then play the Niagara River Lions Wednesday January 10th before embarking on a five game road trip.
