Magic Win Handedly Against Visiting Windsor Express
(Moncton, NB: January 4, 2018)
The Moncton Magic hosted the Windsor Express during the so-called 'Weather Bomb' Thursday night at the Coliseum.
The Magic, playing their first Ontario team, were in full form taking the matchup 101-89.
The Magic came out instantly hot against the away team outscoring in the first and second quarters, up 45-37 after the first half. The small crowd of Moncton fans who braved the weather were rewarded with a high-speed intensive team performance. The squad had great rhythm, made space, recovered consistently from missed plays, and put in a ton of shots.
Brent Jennings, the Magic's most recent acquisition, was given player of the game for his game high 21 points, along with four rebounds and two assists.
Jeremy Williams was just behind Jennings, scoring 18 as well as grabbing four rebounds. Anthony Anderson had 14 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Terry Thomas finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Shaquille Keith led for Windsor, ending Thursday's game with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Magic will now stay home to play the Niagara River Lions Wednesday January 10th 7:00 pm at the Coliseum, before embarking on a five game road trip.
