(Saturday, December 29, 2018)In their 5thmatch of the season, the Magic fell short to the Edge Saturday night. The revamped St John's Edge showed up to the Avenir Centre looking for redemption, and closed with exactly that. After trailing the first 3 quarters on Saturday night, the Edge took control in the 4thand outscored the hub city, 33-10.

Player of the game, Billy White led the Magic in scoring and posted a double double with 24 points and 10 boards. Sharp shooter Corey Allmond put up 22 points, officially joining the 1000 career point club.

Desmond Lee, of the St John's Edge added 25 points to the teams 98 total. Moncton fans who made the trip out to see former Boston Celtic, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, were not disappointed as the big man contributed 20 points in just 25 minutes.

Multiple factors may have played into the 4thquarter fatigue of the Moncton Magic. In addition to the solid efforts of St. John's, an injured Moncton saw the majority of its minutes come from just 7 men in back to back games.

The Magic will spend the next 2 weeks on the road, playing on the Island for a NYE match. The Magic return to the Avenir Centre Friday, January 18thto host the Storm once again.
